Integrations/Discord

Capture Discord feedback in your customer journey

How Discord works with Custory

The Discord integration helps teams bring customer journey updates into the same place where community feedback, product discussion, and support escalation already happen. Instead of manually reposting findings, you can share important journey signals directly into the channels and threads your team is already watching.

Custory can send updates about new pain points, task progress, milestone changes, and journey activity as rich Discord messages with links back to the source. That keeps community-driven products especially close to the voice of the customer without turning Discord into another disconnected notification stream.

What teams use it for

Share customer issues where feedback starts

Teams use Discord to surface recurring friction from user communities, beta groups, and support-style conversations, then connect those signals back to the right journey step in Custory.

Keep moderators, support, and product aligned

When a task is created or a milestone is reached, Discord updates help everyone see what is being worked on and what has already improved for customers.

Make follow-up easier

Threaded discussion and rich embeds make it easier to react to an update, gather extra examples, and keep the conversation linked to the original journey context.

How it works

After connecting your Discord server, you decide which channels should receive updates and which kinds of journey activity are worth sharing. Some teams use one operations channel, while others create a cleaner split between feedback intake, internal triage, and visible progress updates.

Messages can include embeds, links, and notification text that match the tone of your server. That makes Discord useful both for internal coordination and for community-aware teams that want to stay close to real customer discussion without losing structure.

Core capabilities

Discord supports the same core communication loop many teams rely on in Custory: journey map updates, new pain point alerts, task creation and completion notices, milestone updates, and direct links back to the underlying journey.

Rich embeds, private channels, public channels, and thread-based follow-up help the integration fit a broad range of workflows, from internal product coordination to community-led products that treat Discord as an active customer signal channel.

Access and privacy

Custory only requests the permissions needed to post messages, create rich previews, and support the notification flow you configure. Server admins stay in control of where the bot can post, and access can be updated or removed at any time.

Shared content stays scoped to what your team chooses to send. Private journey work is not exposed unless it is deliberately shared into a channel, and Discord channel or thread privacy rules still apply.
